Beacon Bookshop is a bookshop covering a good range of different subjects, and if a book is not on the shelves, we can obtain titles by the next day except in circumstances beyond our control. Our experienced staff are skilled in locating specialist titles, but these sometimes take a little longer.
If you know what you want you can either telephone or email us to order in advance. Alternatively, please feel free to browse our website to see if anything catches your eye. If it does, you can reserve it and your book will then be ready and waiting when you visit us.

We specialise in children's reading and educational books. We have changed and enlarged the children's department to make it more user-friendly, by giving space where parents can browse with their children. The new layout includes a cloakroom for customer use. There has also been the addition of good quality educational toys. We have plans to hold special events, creating a convenient local venue for customers.
